Firstly, students get addicted to it may be because they might find the games fun and interesting. Getting addicted to gaming for this reason may lead to finding school boring and thus loss interest in studying.

Secondly, parents could be hardly at home to know what their kids are doing. In the case of 'nothing to do' for the kids, they may just turn on their computers and start to play games. As time goes by and the routine is repeated everyday, the kids would probably end up having hooked on to gaming.

Lastly, as the fantasy world in games is much different to reality, many tends to prefer 'living' in the virtual world. They could always try and escape reality by playing games, where they can make their own character, create their own life and chooses their own destiny in game.

Games could be fun to play, yet one will get addicted to it easily. Self-control is the key to avoid addiction to computer games. This has to depend on oneself as to get addicted or not and not blaming on the game for being too fun and interesting.

Back in the nebulous past that I recalled, pesky lil' kids running in disparate direction, following the redolent smells of food as the bell strikes. Many was reviled yet they follow the same routine everyday.
